Engineering Student was awarded the Croucher Scholarship |
|
Mr. Gary Chow Chun Tak, a MPhil student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Philip Leong, was awarded the Croucher Scholarship this year (2006-2007) and he will pursue his PhD study at Imperial College, London. The scholarship comprises an annual maintenance allowance, assistance towards air passage, plus tuition fees up to and including the third year of Gary’s study. The Croucher Foundation is a private non-profit-making organization set up in Hong Kong, with an objective to promote excellence in education and reseach in natural science, technology and medicine in Hong Kong. One of the Foundation's regular funding initiatives is to provide financial support for promising young people in Hong Kong to pursue scientific research at postdoctoral and doctoral levels. |
