Professor David Y. Yao was been designated as an INFORMS fellow. The award was presented during a ceremony at the INFORMS annual meeting on Nov. 14, 2005, in San Francisco. The fellow awards recognize INFORMS members who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of operations research and the management sciences. The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is an international scientific society with more than 10,000 members dedicated to applying scientific methods to help improve decision-making, management, and operations. Members of INFORMS work in business, government and academia.
